Ramsey Would Join Arsenal or Not?

Cardiff City youngster Aaron Ramsey is to decide whether he will join Manchester United, Arsenal or Everton within the next 48 hours...

All three clubs had bids of £5 million accepted by the FA Cup finalists, who have been forced to let go of their promising youngster.

Manchester United were initially thought to have landed the 17-year-old and still remain favourites for his signature, with Arsenal and Everton waiting in the wings.

The Welshman has already had a tour of Carrington - Manchester United's training complex - by club captain Gary Neville, and has now taken a private jet to Switzerland to meet with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

He has also met David Moyes and discussed the possibility of moving to Everton, who may not be at the dizzying heights of either of their two competitors, but are not too far off, and will offer the attacking midfielder more first team football than either of them.

However, Manchester United have countered this by including a loan back clause in their deal, so should they win the race for the player, he will spend his first year as a United player back at Cardiff on loan.

“I spoke to Aaron on Friday night," said Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale. "He told me he’d had a great day at United and was on his way to see Arsene. After that, the final decision is up to the youngster himself.

“Aaron spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson before visiting United. He’s a sensible person and will listen to what Arsene has to say.”
