Germany International Midfield SHOCK Linked to Arsenal

German international Torsten Frings, reportedly turned down Newcastle and now eyeing a move to Arsenal.
According to the Newcastle Evening Chronicle: 'Frings' agent spoke to United executive director of football Dennis Wise yesterday and offered him the 31-year-old Werder Bremen star, who can operate anywhere across midfield.

'But sources in Germany say that Frings' people did not receive much encouragement and are now looking to offload their man to Arsenal FC, with Arsene Wenger having lost Mathieu Flamini and now Alexander Hleb and Gilberto Silva.'

But this deal is too possible impossible too happen as Arsenal famously have a policy of only offering short-term deals to players over 30, but with a dearth of defensive midfielders on the market, perhaps they could make an exception to the rule.
