Gervinho - Arsenal is My Dream Club

Gervinho turned heads all across France during his debut season in Ligue 1, his impressive displays earning him a call-up to the Ivory Coast national team.

And the 21-year-old – whose full name is Gervais Yao Kouassi – has already set his sights on a move to one of England’s most successful and glamorous clubs.

"Arsenal is the club that makes me dream," Gervinho said on Setanta Sports. "To join Arsenal would be the happiest day of my life."

Gunners boss Wenger is renowned for his focus on youth talent, having recruited the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Gael Clichy – two of the Premier League’s brightest stars – while they were teenagers.

Gervinho is a huge fan of the Frenchman’s methods: "I love the way they play the game, with young players and the coach gives them the opportunity to display their talent to the full.

"In a major European club it is an exception to see a coach who relies mainly on young players and has full confidence in them."
